We Think You're Crazy Too
When the old First Baptist Church was on the verge of demolition in 1977, Malouf and Therese Abraham envisioned the historic building as their new home. Everyone in town told them they were crazy for attempting to create a home out of a deserted church. In her southern lady-like fashion, Therese grabbed some paint and wood to create her response, “We think you’re crazy too.” And that was that. What was once criticized as a ridiculous dream transformed into The Citadelle Art Museum.
How’s that for crazy?
